This last Thursday my whole German class went over to our professor's house to make dinner all together. It was so much fun. The point of it was so that we could learn all kinds of food and cooking vocabulary. We didn't end up talking about vocabulary until today in class, but we did have an amazing time. The dinner consisted of lots of red wine, duck, pumpkin soup, Blaukraut, dumplings and for dessert we had Apfelstrüdel. A typical German dinner. It was so decadent it almost felt like Thanksgiving. We took about 2 hours to cook everything and then we spent around 3 hours sitting around talking and eating. It was one of the most fun nights I have had in a really long time, and a great example of learning culture, language and having fun all at the same time. Here are some pictures:
